The City of Dallas has signed a new three-year electricity contract with TXU Energy for the purchase of more than 2.2 million mega-watt hours of electricity to power more than 800 city-owned facilities, thousands of traffic signals and street lights, and operations like pumping water, while saving up to $7m per year in electricity costs.
