HaloSource, a clean water company, and Bajaj Electricals, an Indian home appliance products company, have reached an agreement for the use of HaloSource's HaloPure disinfection cartridges in Bajaj water treatment products.

Salcon Bhd, a water engineering company offering services in the investment, design, construction and operation of wastewater treatment plants, has invested CNY20.28m to purchase 100% equity interest in Yizheng Rong Xing Wastewater Treatment Company in China.

Siemens has secured a EUR10m order from Slovakia Steel Mills, to supply a water treatment plant for its new steelworks. The plant, expected to be on line by the end of 2010, will treat the water used for direct and indirect cooling at the steel mill.

Peak Energy Services Trust, a diversified energy services organization, has secured a contract worth approximately $2m from an oil and gas exploration client for the development of a wastewater treatment system.

The city of Revere, Massachusetts, has agreed to spend approximately $50m to reduce illegal discharges of raw sewage overflows into the environment from its wastewater collection system and separate storm sewer system and pay a penalty of $130,000 for the Clean Water Act violation.
